THRIVE LAB - CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Thrive Lab is a program offered to children of abuse, through the Friends of Child Justice Center of Salt Lake City. It is meant to provide children with healthy coping habits and outlets to work through their trauma, by providing them with connections in the community. Therapeutic activities such as: dance, art, music, sports, and equine therapy are offered by volunteers in the community. Thrive Lab is focused on turning trauma into Empowerment, Transformation, and Resilience.

With this in mind, I was part of a collaborative team of 4 designers through Utah Valley University. We were tasked with finding a Non-profit to work with. Through a contact at the Friends of the CJCSLC, we were able to present a comprehensive campaign for the month of April since it is Child Abuse Awareness Month. This project included the creation of branding for the Thrive Lab across multiple assets, a social media campaign for the month of April, a reusable backdrop for a major donor Event, and a 48-page coloring book for the children who come through the CJC, which doubled as a legacy fundraising asset for the Friends of the CJCSLC.

With a focus on children and thriving, we created a successful Brand and campaign with our client. We were able to help them raise over $2,700 in one event. We hope that our coloring book and the Thrive Lab will provide children with a way to Thrive through their trauma and that they will use the brand and coloring book to continue to fundraise to achieve this mission.
